Matt is CEO, North America at Xaxis. As CEO, North America, Matt oversees strategy and operations across the U.S. and Canada with a focus on helping clients leverage data and technology to engage audiences at scale across all addressable media channels. Previously, Matt was SVP, Client Engagement at Xaxis where he led the programmatic sales and account management team in the U.S. In this position, he was instrumental in building Xaxis’ direct client business and also played a key role in driving Xaxis’ mobile performance business. Matt has over 20 years of success directing management, sales and operations within start-up and established media organizations. As SVP, Platforms at Crisp Media, he led the company’s West Coast ad network business, developing and implementing strategies to help brand advertisers reach and engage with mobile audiences. Earlier he was Chief Revenue Officer at Geeknet where he established a new strategy for its publishing business, migrating from an “ad network for geeks,” to a progressive B2B community for IT professionals. As the CEO/President at IDG’s Computerworld and InfoWorld, Matt was instrumental in modernizing a traditional B2B media company. A “digital first” strategy transitioned a staid print and events business into a growing digital media business. A data driven approach helped launch lead generation, custom content marketing services programs, and the first tech vertical ad network, replacing print quarters with digital dollars. In 2008, Matt was recognized by B to B Media as a “Top Innovator”. He lives in Fairfield, CT with his wife Jaeca and has four children, Sam, Lucy, Jake, and Jameson.
